35 Knots.
I haven’t written in a while so I thought I’d add a quick entry. I’ve been getting back onto the lake as the water gets warmer (relative statement — it is about 45 degrees now, although the air is much warmer). I cannot believe how rusty I am. My hands are so sore after a few minutes of windsurfing. It is definitely time to learn how to use a harness. I have dedicated the last several sailing sessions to just that pursuit, and don’t yet have much to show for it. Today I went out with a 6.0 sail in what ended up being 30-35 knot winds; after 30 minutes of abuse I ended up having to walk the board and rig half a mile, through the water, to my launch spot. Ugh. I will prevail, but it could take a while. And how much Advil will I need to go through in the process?
