Late-night wandering.
Sitting here wrapping up studying and trying to get myself off to bed. I’m nothing more than one large mass of nostalgia. “Homeward Bound” by Simon & Garfunkel is playing — reminds me of growing up, my sister, and my good friend David. I’ve just read an email from an old high school friend — my 20th reunion is upon me, and it’s impossible for me not to drift into thoughts about the good/bad old days. “Dancing Nancies” comes on — reminds me of a wedding in California. I’ve got an open beer in front of me — the taste of IPA reminds me of (too many) fun times.
It is hard to grasp that time only moves one way.
It’s way too late at night and I’m looking for someone to share memories with.

Time only moves one way. Either you write a new song with that phrasing or I am going to write a book with that as its title. What elegant language.
